Chicken Chettinad Gravy recipe – South Indian Food

INGREDIENTS :

Half kg chicken
Chettinad Masala
Salt
Coriander Seeds 3 tblspn
Turmeric powder Dry Red Chill – 4 to 5
Lemon juice
Fennel Seeds – 2 tsp
Cumin Seeds
Whole Peppercorns – 2 tsp
Star Anise – 1
Cloves – 4
Fresh Coconut – 1/4 cup
Cinnamon Stick
Onions – 2 large sliced thinly
Tomatoes – 2 medium size cubed
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp.
Curry Leaves a small handful
Oil – 2 tbsp.
Coriander Leaves

MARINATON PROCESS :
step 1: cut the chicken into pieces wash them and put in the mixing bowl, put some salt, turmeric powder, and lemon juice in the mixing bowl , Mix well
step 2: put in the Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes
CHETTINAD MASALA PROCESS :
step 1 : heat the pan and add all the ingredients inm the Chettinad masala list except coconut.
step 2 : roast all the spices till it turns into golden
step 3 : now add coconut and roast it till it turns into light golden
step 4 : . Mix well and then grind in the mixer until it forms into a smooth paste.
CHETTINAD GRAVY PROCESS :
Step 1 : take the pressure cooker and heat it, pour some oil
step 2 : add the thinly sliced onion and saute until it turns soft
step 3 : now add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste
step 4 : add the marinated chicken and mix well, cover the cooker and cook it for two whistle
step 5 : after the two whistle simmer the heat for 10 minites
step 6 : now change the chicken into seperate pan
step 7 : heat the pan and add Chettinad masala, mix well
step 8 : cover the pan and saute it for 10 mins in simmer heat.
Add in coriander leaves and serve.
